2015-16

The above presentation was delivered at the Capita 2016 Conference, held at the America Square Conference Centre London in January 2016, addressing the conference theme ‘Widening Participation in Higher Education’ by illustrating the work undertaken by the East Midlands Widening Participation Research and Evaluation Partnership (EMWPREP). The presentation discusses the ‘Who and What’ in relation to WP, and illustrates the different types and ways in which we use data in the Midlands by providing examples of practices and procedures we have adopted to formulate our evaluation framework.

 

2014-15

The above presentation was delivered at the NEON 2015 Conference, held at the University of Sussex in June 2015, addressing the conference theme ‘Does data matter?’ by illustrating the work undertaken by the East Midlands Widening Participation Research and Evaluation Partnership (EMWPREP). The presentation offers insights into how we utilise data to effectively target learners for interventions, how we  capture and store learner data and the methods deployed monitor and evaluate outreach work, with the aim of tracking learners through their educational lifecycle.

The above presentation was delivered at the FACE 2015 Conference, held at the University of South Wales in July 2015, addressing the conference sub-theme ‘Tracking, Retention and Partnerships’ by illustrating the work undertaken by the East Midlands Widening Participation Research and Evaluation Partnership (EMWPREP) in relation to the development of a user-friendly approach to the interrogation of large data sets.

 

2013-14

The above presentation was delivered at the FACE 2014 Conference, held at the University of Salford in July 2014, addressing the conference theme of building and sustaining effective partnerships between universities by profiling the East Midlands Widening Participation Research and Evaluation Partnership (EMWPREP). The presentation offers an insight into the services provided by EMWPREP, explores the benefits for individual partners that have arisen from this collaboration, and the key success factors that have contributed to the durability and expansion of this collaborative venture.

The above presentation was delivered at the REACH Annual Conference, held at the Beaumanor Hall in June 2014, to discuss the ways in which we use data in the East Midlands.
