National Networks for Collaborative Outreach: OFFA comment

The Office for Fair Access (OFFA) has today welcomed a new £22 million scheme to coordinate the work that universities and colleges do to help attract people from disadvantaged backgrounds to higher education. OFFA and the Higher Education Funding Council for England identified the need for a new approach to collaborative outreach in the national strategy for access and student success, published in April 2014. The new National Networks for Collaborative Outreach scheme will see 35 local networks and three nationally-focused networks created to provide advice and information about higher education to schools and colleges across England.
